Random Ramsdom: Rich Eisen predicts LA to win NFC West

Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 11/28/24

I was watching Rich Eisen on YouTube on Tuesday and I came across a video (linked below) and Eisen talks about a number of teams, but the topic you are probably most likely interested in is: Will the Los Angeles Rams make the playoffs? According to the very famous talking head (Eisen) the answer is yes. He expects LA to do just enough to win the NFC West and play past Week 18 of the regular season.

Do I think the Rams will make the playoffs? I honestly don’t know. I haven’t given up hope, but I do think even if they make the playoffs, they are likely to get bounced in round one, but once you are at the dance you never know what will happen.

Do you think LA will make the playoffs?

I do think LA has the right parts to make some noise, but for whatever reason it just hasn’t come together in way that makes this team look dominant. The team instead looks hot and cold. Unlike your lunch/dinner today which is hopefully just hot! Although some food is better cold so maybe my metaphor is stretch.

Regardless, have a great Turkey Day, enjoy the football, and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!

Rich Eisen has a bold prediction for the Rams’ final 6 games (ramswire)

“I think the Rams win this week at New Orleans, I think they lose at home against Buffalo and I think they win out,” Eisen said. “I think they win out, starting with a big win in San Francisco. They take care of the Jets in New York and they win both games against divisional rivals at home. They are 10-7, they win the West and they’re the team that you don’t want to face in the playoffs. They make the playoffs, I think they win the West and I can’t believe I’m saying that coming off of what I just saw against the Eagles.”

Eisen did say he’s “concerned about their O-line” but he loves the way the pass rush looks.

“They can put pressure on the quarterback and if they do that, the back end can survive,” he said.”

Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 13 game (usatoday)

“Trying to get in the way of Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles? Good luck with that. Philadelphia’s running back made another case for MVP when he ran all over Los Angeles and the Rams simply couldn’t respond. It’s a tough loss, but not all hope should be lost with Los Angeles still in the running for the NFC West lead.

New Orleans might not have wanted the last week off after it has put together two wins in consecutive games. There is still a slim chance of playoff hopes for the Saints, but they aren’t out of it just yet. Could it be time for a turnaround in the Big Easy?”

Let’s talk about Rams roster, and how the team fumbled the plan so far (ramblinfan)

“The LA Rams are 5-6, which is an identical record as the team had at this time in 2023. But those 5-6 Rams felt like a team that had turned the corner. This Rams roster, a team that has lost two of the last three games, is a team that just suffered a TKO at the hands of the visiting Philadelphia Eagles. Somehow, the team must get up off the canvas and be prepared to fight in Week 13.

Optimism is at a low, and skepticism is rampant.”
