Presser Points: Takeaways from Coach Brian Daboll | Giants.com
Daboll spoke about what Thanksgiving football means to him. “It’s a privilege to play on Thanksgiving. I remember sitting there with my grandfather and watching the games on Thanksgiving when there’s only a couple of them. But I’ve participated in this game on Thanksgiving in my career quite a bit. It’s always a privilege.”
Malik Nabers: I will continue to speak my mind
Malik Nabers was asked about the idea that he has to earn the clout to say things like he said after the game on Sunday:
“I’m not gonna just sit back just because I’m a younger guy and just not speak on how I feel. They want me to speak up.” pic.twitter.com/Z0BkG7GlKc

Malik Nabers comments on losing, don’t muzzle Giants’ No. 1 dawg | The Record
Now that the Giants’ No. 1 dawg is doing a little bit of barking after this team collectively played like a bunch of dogs inside MetLife Stadium to remain winless in six home games, don’t get caught up in the emotion and start calling for that muzzle.
This is what a competitor tired of losing sounds like. Sure, there’s a little “throw me the damn ball” in the messaging. But as assistant GM Brandon Brown told Schoen during the pre-draft process, teams that want to win find ways to embrace, not shun, that.
Ranking the best NFL rookies after Week 12 | PFF
3. CB Andru Phillips, New York Giants PFF Grade: 82.1. Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers wasn’t Phillips’ best outing, much like the rest of the Giants roster. His 57.9 PFF grade was the second-lowest single-game grade of his rookie season, with a pair of missed tackles contributing to the dip. Despite the struggles, Phillips continued to make plays and now has 24 defensive stops on the year.
8. WR Malik Nabers, New York Giants. PFF Grade: 79.3. Nabers saw nine targets in the Giants’ loss to the Buccaneers, turning them into six receptions for 64 yards. He hasn’t found the end zone since Week 3, and the switch to Tommy DeVito at quarterback resulted in his second-lowest single-game grade of the season.

One move each NFC team wishes it had made prior to the 2024 NFL season | PFF
Overhaul the quarterback room. General manager Joe Schoen tried unsuccessfully to move up and land either Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye, so it’s hard to fault him there. What can be second-guessed, though, is why the Giants signed Drew Lock, who has thrown just nine passes all year, instead of someone like Sam Darnold or Russell Wilson. Plus, the franchise would likely feel like it’s in a better place if Schoen had traded back and still landed either J.J. McCarthy or Nix, although Malik Nabers has been impressive.
Tiki: Giants handling of Daniel Jones led to loss | WFAN
“It looked like a team that was distracted,” Tiki said. “I’m not gonna make excuses for this team. It is you responsibility as players in this leaguer to get yourself ready to play, regardless of what is going on around your team and in the clubhouse. But this was a highly distracted week. When I’m thinking about what the Giants went through this week, it’s hard to focus on football…it was ‘Man, I feel for Daniel Jones.’ All the questions and conversation was about Daniel Jones, the future of this organization, and what Tommy DeVito was gonna be.”

Chase Daniels: Daboll is coaching for his job
The Giants were embarrassed by the Buccaneers on the field Sunday, in their own locker room postgame, and by Saquon Barkley Sunday night.

Giants have become a national punchline. Will Brian Daboll, Joe Schoen survive the season? | The Athletic
If Daboll can weather Thursday’s game, he should be able to survive at least until the end of the season. The rest of the Giants’ games will be buried in the 1 p.m. window, and the national media will largely turn its focus to teams in the playoff race. But if the Giants have a repeat of Sunday’s performance in Dallas, Mara could wind up facing decisions he never could have anticipated a month ago.
2025 NFL draft order projections: Patriots, Giants at top | ESPN.com
2. New York Giants (2-9). Average draft position: 4.2 (last week 4.3). FPI chance to earn No. 1 pick: 26.4% (19.2% ). FPI chance to earn top-five pick: 81.8% (70.0%). FPI chance to earn top-10 pick: 98.4% (95.7%)
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Shedeur Sanders Replaces Daniel Jones In New York | ProFootballNetwork.com
4) New York Giants, Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado. After releasing Daniel Jones, the New York Giants have shown their hand and will have to do something different at the QB position in 2025. Shedeur Sanders is the first QB off the board as the Colorado passer heads to New York in this simulation. Sanders is on track to become QB1 in the 2025 QB class, and there won’t be many arguments if this ends up being the selection when the Giants are on the clock in April.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Latest First-round Predictions Entering Week 13 | The 33rd Team
2. New York Giants, Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward. I am choosing Ward over Sanders for the Giants due to the ceiling as a passer — I think Ward has more at his disposal to tap into with his arm talent and ability outside of structure, even if he leans on it too heavily at this stage of his career.

Jerry Jones: Not crazy to think Mike McCarthy will get an extension | Pro Football Talk
“I don’t think that’s crazy at all. That’s not crazy,” Jones said. “Listen, Mike McCarthy is an outstanding coach. . . . A Super Bowl-winning coach. Mike McCarthy has been there and done that. He’s got great ideas. Bottom line is no place in my body language or anything else have you seen an indication about what we’re going to be doing relative to this staff at the end of the year. And we shouldn’t, we got a lot of football left.”

Sign a Running Back. The entire process was an abject failure by Jerry Jones, who didn’t re-sign Tony Pollard — and elected not to sign any of Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones or Josh Jacobs. To top it all off, Jones didn’t draft a player like Jonathon Brooks or Bucky Irving (85.1 PFF overall grade), entering the year with Rico Dowdle and 29-year-old Ezekiel Elliott as lone starters.
