First, in a move many fans have been heavily anticipating since he re-signed before the 2024 season, offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn has officially been activated off the physically unable-to-perform list.
Wynn, the former first-round pick of the New England Patriots in the 2018 NFL Draft, started seven games for Miami at left guard in 2023. His season ended abruptly on October 22nd. It was a Sunday Night game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles when Wynn sustained a quadriceps injury that would force him to miss the remainder of the season. Now, he’s officially healthy and ready to add depth to a Dolphins’ offensive line that’s been playing well this season, with guards Liam Eichenberg and Robert Jones starting.
How long can their play keep Wynn off the field?
In a corresponding roster move, the Dolphins released veteran lineman Lester Cotton.
Miami also released long-snapper Tucker Addington to make way for long-snapper Zach Triner on the practice squad. Triner, who entered the NFL in 2017 as a free agent, appeared in 81 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers between 2019 and 2024. He will likely be Miami’s long snapper for the next four weeks before General Manager Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel start searching for their next John Denney.
What are your thoughts on Isaiah Wynn being activated off PUP? Do you foresee him making his way back to Miami’s starting rotation? Do you like Miami’s approach at long-snapper?
