As they probably should be
The Minnesota Vikings are set to make their return to U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon when they host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13 of this 2024 NFL season. Riding a four-game winning streak, including winning away from home in each of the last three weeks, the Vikings are the early favorites to get their win total to double digits.
The folks from FanDuel have opened the betting lines for this week’s NFL games, and they’ve installed the Vikings as an early 3.5-point favorite for their first game at U.S. Bank Stadium since Week 9. The over/under for this one is starting out at 45.5 points.
The Vikings started the season with a five-game winning streak that made them the NFC’s last undefeated team. Then they lost two games in the span of five days but have reeled off four in a row since then. They still trail Detroit by a game in the NFC North but are firmly in the postseason picture as they occupy the top Wild Card spot in the conference as things currently stand.
The Cardinals fell out of the playoff picture with their 16-6 loss to Seattle in Week 12. They currently reside in the #8 spot in the NFC playoff picture, which would make them the first team out. Given that all four NFC West teams currently have records of either 6-5 or 5-6, there will still be plenty of jockeying for position among those four teams as we come down the stretch this season.
The Vikings kick off this three-game homestand with the Cardinals, and they’ll follow that up by hosting the Atlanta Falcons and completing their home-and-home series with Chicago before they have to go on the road again in Week 16.
Kevin O’Connell and his team are heading back to the Twin Cities, and they’re projected to keep the momentum going at Arizona’s expense. Do you agree with the early betting line in this one, folks?
