Random Ramsdom: Kyren Williams is fumbling at awful times

Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 11/25/24

The Los Angeles Rams were driving to open the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football, but then Kyren Williams fumbled in the redzone. When the Rams played the Green Bay Packers Williams fumbled coming out of the half. Against the Miami Dolphins LA’s defense forced a turnover, but then on the subsequent offensive drive do you know what happened? Williams fumbled the ball right back.

Do you see a pattern here?

It’s not just the fumbles which are bad enough. It is fumbling and killing momentum. It is fumbling at the worst times. Should LA give Blake Corum more touches? I don’t know but Williams has a fumbling problem, and now the Rams have a problem at their running back position until it changes.

No victory Monday, but thanks for checking out Turf Show Times! Feel free to vent in the comments below and let us know what you think and have a nice day!

Highlight: Nakobe Dean recovers Kyren Williams fumble on opening drive (philadelphiaeagles.com)

“Isaiah Rodgers comes off the bench and forces Rams running back Kyren Williams to fumble and Nakobe Dean is there to recover. Head Coach Nick Sirianni had to throw the challenge flag after Williams was initially ruled down by contact.”

Nick Sirianni’s late decision to accept key penalty vs. Rams creates controversy (sportingnews)

“The Eagles coach clearly preferred the former, as he changed his decision once he saw the Rams lining up to go for it. Sirianni was able to accept the penalty and force the Rams into a 3rd-and-13.

The call to set the Rams back to 3rd-and-13 can easily be justified, as McVay is such a creative play-caller that 4th-and-3 is absolutely doable for Matthew Stafford and the L.A. offense. The decision itself isn’t what created controversy, however.

Fans quickly wondered why officials allowed Sirianni to change his mind after he saw the Rams lining up for the play, and NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay came on the air to say Sirianni should not have been able to make any change at that point.”

Rams WR Puka Nacua Raises Eyebrows When Asked About NFC West Competition (outkick)

“Puka, a rising Rams star, gave a head-scratching response for the media and fans to chew on. Surely he can’t be serious.

“No, if I’m being honest with you guys, somebody told me we’re in the NFC West, so that’s good to know, I guess,” Nacua said, as relayed by NFL insider Adam Schefter on Sunday.

Nacua and the Rams take on the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime Sunday night.”
