The Minnesota Vikings went into Chicago and took down the Bears 30-27 in overtime. Easy W, just like I said.
Sam Darnold – Darnold was him in OT. The 3rd and 10 play to keep the drive going and avoid a 3 and out like the Bears. There were multiple sets of downs started off with a penalty or sack, but Darnold didn’t panic. 0 interceptions, 330 yards and 2 TDs, it was a September like performance from Darnold.

Jordan Addison – Addison had a huge day with the Bears focusing on Justin Jefferson. He had 8 catches on 9 targets for 162 yards and 1 TD. None more impressive than the play to end the 1st quarter. On a play where an obvious DPI wasn’t called, Addison made a catch with a defender pulling him to the ground.

TJ Hockenson – Hockenson’s first 100 yard game since the injury! 7 catches on 9 targets for 114 yards and the big gain to setup the winning field goal. Hockenson might be a boost of energy to this offense to start the late season run.
Jonathan Greenard – 2 sacks and 4 total tackles for a loss, Greenard was disruptive. Both sacks led to 3 and outs. Greenard has been one of the league leaders in pressures all year, it’s good to see him finally get a few sacks on his stat line. He was the Vikings highest PFF graded player (89.5).

Harrison Smith – This isn’t one of the games where Smith had a play that blows you out of the water. It was vintage Harrison Smith run/short passing game support. Caleb Williams has been a short pass merchant this year. Smith led the team with 11 total tackles and was a big reason the Vikings were mostly able to keep the Bears offense in check. The 4th quarter was a mess, but that would’ve been leading to defeat if not for their efforts the first 3 quarters. Might be because I watched it condensed, but it seemed like he made every play out there.
Honorable Mention: Aaron Jones had a nice game. The fumble to start is the reason he isn’t a nominee.
