Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 11/23/24

The Philadelphia Eagles have added former Los Angeles Rams player Ochaun Mathis. Will Mathis be able to spill any secrets on LA? I don’t know but these two teams did player last year (with Philly coming out on top) so this matchup on Sunday night should be a good one.

There are some injuries mounting up for the game, so who is actually active on gameday and who is not should be interesting.

We made it to another Saturday. Thank you to all the commenters and everyone in general! Writing for Turf Show Times is a blast, and if you are seeing this today (or any day) I hope you check out some other articles too! Have a great weekend!

Eagles sign former Rams edge rusher two days before facing LA (ramswire)

“The Philadelphia Eagles might be looking for some intel on the Los Angeles Rams’ defense ahead of Sunday night’s showdown at SoFi Stadium. On Friday morning, just two days before facing the Rams, the Eagles signed one of LA’s former draft picks: 2023 sixth-rounder, Ochaun Mathis.

Philadelphia added Mathis to the practice squad after he was released by the Patriots this week. That means this will be the second straight week Mathis will be a member of the opposing team when the Rams take the field.”

Injury Report, Week 12 vs. Eagles: Charles Woods and KT Leveston ruled out, Rob Havenstein doubtful for Sunday Night Football (therams.com)

“WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (ankle) is officially doubtful for Sunday Night Football against the Eagles at SoFi Stadium (5:20 p.m. PT, NBC).

Rams head coach Sean McVay earlier this week said Havenstein had been “trending in the right direction” to possibly return for Sunday night’s game. On Friday, McVay said there was not a setback for Havenstein, who logged limited participation in Thursday and Friday’s practices after being estimated as a non-participant Wednesday.

“He just hasn’t made the progress that … He looks good, but is he quite ready to be the Rob that we’re all accustomed to seeing?” head coach Sean McVay said after Friday’s practice. “That’s why he’s listed as doubtful right now.”

NFC West picture: Will Los Angeles Rams reach playoffs in 2024? (sportingsnews)

“The Rams face the Eagles on Sunday before battling the Saints and Bills in the following weeks. New Orleans should be winnable for the Rams, but the games against Philadelphia and Buffalo will be tough.

After that, it’s the division gauntlet.

The Rams battle the 49ers, Cardinals and Seahawks in three of their last four games and also face the New York Jets. While the Jets game is in New York, that should be winnable for the Rams.

But the NFC West games will be huge. With so much parity in the division, each game will go a long way in deciding which of the four teams wins the NFC West.

It’s also worth noting how big the division championship is for each of the four squads.”
