Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season winds down this evening with a showdown between the two clubs from Texas. The Houston Texans will travel north this week to take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans started the season hot, winning five of their first six games. They have since cooled off, dropping three of their last four games, including last week’s loss to the Detroit Lions, 26 to 23. The Cowboys have struggled even more this season, managing only three wins to their six losses. Dallas is coming off a blowout loss last week at the hands of their division rival Philadelphia Eagles, 34 to 6.

—My Pick: The Texans to cover. The Texans have struggled lately, and despite another loss last week, they did hold their own, only losing by 3 points to possibly the best team in the NFL right now, the Detroit Lions. The Texans are still a solid team that has been in the midst of a slump. On the other hand, the Cowboys are a team that I have zero faith in at this point, especially given the loss of their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott. Without Prescott, the Cowboys looked like a team circling the drain last week.
