He was playing very well.
The Cincinnati Bengals benched Cam Taylor-Britt after another rough night Sunday. Josh Newton got more snaps, and DJ Turner II made three really, really good plays on deep balls from Justin Herbert.
The second-year corner was having arguably the best game of his career until he fell hard on his shoulder after breaking up a deep shot on the sideline. Turner remained on the turf as the broadcast went to commercial.
Taylor-Britt was reinserted into the lineup as Turner went directly to the locker room.
Per the Bengals, Turner is out with a collarbone injury.

With Turner out, this means CTB is going to be inserted back into the game after being benched yet again. If he can’t play well or someone else gets hurt, the Bengals will have to rely on DJ Ivey to finish it out.
If someone gets hurt after that, then the Bengals will likely have to play a safety at corner…
