Tee Higgins also went limited again.
During a rainy Cincinnati Bengals practice on Thursday, we got a chance to see how some key injured players were progressing ahead of the team’s matchup vs. the Los Angeles Chargers.
Thursday brought good news for the offensive line, as offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (knee/fibula) returned to practice. Brown last played in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but had to leave the game. He suffered the week prior in a win against the Cleveland Browns. Brown being back on the practice field is a great sign for his availability Sunday night. He was officially listed as a limited participant.
Joe Burrow (right wrist/left biceps) was again on the report but was a full participant.
We got more good news for the offense, as wide receiver Tee Higgins (quadricep) practiced for the second straight day. Higgins has not played since the win in Cleveland but got more practice reps on Thursday. He was listed as limited, which gives him a real shot to suit up against LA.
Trey Hendrickson (neck) was limited on Wednesday, which is a typical rest day for veterans. However, he was not out there for Thursday’s practice, but they added rest to the designation as well. Hendrickson has played through injuries before, so there is a chance he will be back on the field on Sunday.
BJ Hill (knee) returned to practice after missing Wednesday, making his chances of playing Sunday night relatively good, barring a setback. Hill was listed as limited.
Linebacker Joe Bachie (hip) missed his second straight practice, while fellow linebacker Logan Wilson (quadricep) was limited for the second straight day.
Guard Alex Cappa (illness) was listed as a non-participant, as was wideout Charlie Jones (groin).
For the Chargers, Khalil Mack (groin) got another DNP, while Joey Bosa (hip) was limited for a second straight day. Will be interesting to see how much they can do Friday.
JK Dobbins got a DNP due to a personal matter, while Gus Edwards (ankle) was limited again.
