Both teams are trying to keep hope alive for this season.
This week’s Monday Night Football features a matchup between two teams looking to stay in the playoff hunt. The Los Angeles Rams are much closer to reaching a Wild Card spot. The Miami Dolphins are trying to stave off being eliminated from contention at 2-6.
Miami didn’t have the best luck this year. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a stint on injured reserve after yet another ugly concussion. During that time, the Dolphins only managed to beat the New England Patriots.
This team has had one of the highest-powered offenses in the league, and Tagovailoa has taken some shots from fans and media about how important he actually is in the system. We definitely got that answer. The Dolphins are just hoping his return hasn’t come too late.
The Rams were rumored to be considering a fire sale near the trade deadline if things didn’t turn around. Well, whether it was that or wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua returning from injury, they did just that.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, things are much more competitive in the NFC, as their division is led by the 6-4 Arizona Cardinals and followed up by the 5-4 49ers. The lowest Wild Card spot sits at 6-3 (Green Bay Packers) and 7-3 (Washington Commanders). So, their best shot is keeping up with the NFC West.
FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the Rams as 5.5-point favorites at home.
