Will Jared Goff keep the Lions firing on all cylinders on Sunday Night Football?
Coming into the season, the Week 10 matchup between the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans was one that many had circled on their calendars. This was always going to be a game between two of the best teams in each conference and a potential Super Bowl preview. The Texans and Lions will wrap up the Sunday slate on games and hopefully play an exciting game.
While the Texans haven’t looked as good as some expected coming into the year, they still sit at 6-3 and lead the AFC South. The offensive line has taken a step back and with Nico Collins on injured reserve, the offense has lacked explosiveness. Collins should be back in the lineup on Sunday Night, giving CJ Stroud his favorite target back in the offense.
Following a slow start despite just one loss, the Lions have seemingly hit their stride. The Lions won their first three games by one score, but have seemed dominant at times over the last month. Quarterback Jared Goff has completed at least 80 percent of his passes in three straight games. The defense added a pass rusher at the trade deadline and the offense looks like the best in the NFL. This is a true Super Bowl contender.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Lions are 3.5-point favorites on the road. These are two teams trending in the opposite direction. The Lions are hitting on all cylinders while the Texans have lost two of their last three. Still, the Texans are undefeated at home and Nico Collins should be back. They may not win, but expect them to make this close
The Pick: Texans (+3.5)
