Last year, NFL fans living outside America didn’t get to see Joe Burrow put on a show with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
As it turns out, Burrow doesn’t like that. He wants to share his joy for the game with the world.
”He’s been vocal about it,” Mike North, the NFL’s VP for broadcast planning, told Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson. “I remember he was pretty disappointed last year when you guys didn’t go… I think that’s a real possibility for the Bengals this year.”
North went on to say that the Bengals are candidates to play the Washington Commanders in London, UK and to play the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid, Spain. And for good reason.
“They’ve got one of those fan bases, thanks in large part to the quarterback, that resonates in Europe and across the planet,” North said.
We’ll have to see if the Bengals end up playing one or more international games when the full NFL schedule is revealed in the next few weeks.
