Underdog Sports recently released a new “Availability Odds” tool that calculates how often a prospect is still on the board for each selection in the first round. You can also run scenarios with multiple players and the site will analyze the likelihood one of those players lasts to the pick.
How likely are the Los Angeles Rams to come away with a top player in this class? Let’s run some intriguing scenarios through this tool.
Don’t get your hopes up
These players have a 0% chance of falling to thirteenth overall when the Rams are on the clock:
- Fernando Mendoza
- Arvell Reese
- David Bailey
- Sonny Styles
What are the most commonly mocked picks to Rams?
The top five most common players linked to the Rams at thirteenth overall are:
- Makai Lemon, WR; USC – 30%
- Jordyn Tyson, WR; Arizona State – 25%
- Spencer Fano, OL; Utah – 11%
- Kenyon Sadiq, TE; Oregon – 7%
- Monroe Freeling, OT; Georgia – 6%
Fans will contest LA’s likelihood of drafting a tackle based on Warren McClendon’s third-year breakout last season. He returns in 2026 with one final year left on his rookie contract. Still, the Rams must build their depth at the position. This can be accomplished in later rounds most likely.
Will a top three WR fall to Rams?
Carnell Tate, Lemon, and Tyson comprise the consensus top three receivers in this class. The Availability Odds tool says there is a 94% chance one of the three fall to Los Angeles at thirteen based on 1,453 first round mock drafts over the last seven days.
The consensus order after the NFL Scouting Combine seems to be (1) Tate, (2) Lemon, and (3) Tyson.
Rams fans will debate whether Lemon’s skillset would be redundant with Puka Nacua’s, although that may not be a negative as Nacua is now in rehabilitation and is amidst a tumultuous offseason.
Some analysts regard Tyson as the top receiver in this draft class, though he has a troubling injury history. Tyson suffered major knee and collarbone injuries in college. He also missed time with a hamstring issue that is bleeding over the pre-draft process. Tyson did not participate at the combine and was limited at his pro day. Taking him at thirteen could be a high-risk gamble.
