Does Najee Harris make sense for the Raiders?

The Las Vegas Raiders need another running back.

New coach Klint Kubiak said he wants to pair second-year standout Ashton Jeanty with a second option to operate in his run-first offense. That’s how Kubiak has always worked.

Still, despite adding several free agents thus far, the Raiders haven’t added a player at the positiion. They could, of coruse, wait until the draft, but that likely won’t come to the mid rounds.

While the veteran options are drying up, there may one to keep an eye on —- former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Najee Harris.

Las Vegas general manager John Spytek was rumored to have interest in Harris last year (under a different system) before Harris signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. Harris, however, had a rough go in 2025. He suffered an eye injury in a Fourth of July accident that cost him time and then his season ended in Week 3 when he suffered an Achilles injury. He had just 15 carries for the Chargers, who were considered a perfect fit for Harris.

However, Harris’ agent recently shared video of Harris working out and he looks like he’s on schedule to be ready for the season. He has begun visiting teams and NFL Media reported Wednesday he will visit the Raiders after being in Seattle on Tuesday.

Harris just turned 28 and he could be a solid, reasonable option to put behind Jeanty. Do you like the Harris fit for the Raiders?
