When you’re under the gun, it’s time to pull the trigger and the Rams had salary guarantees trigger on seven contracts over the weekend, including Matthew Stafford.
- Matthew Stafford, $40 million 2026 salary guaranteed
- AJ Jackson, $18.6 million salary guaranteed
- Nathan Landman, $4.45 million roster bonus
- Davante Adams, $6 million roster bonus
- Poona Ford, $3.85 million roster bonus
- Coleman Shelton, $3 million roster bonus
- Colby Parkinson, $1.5 million roster bonus

Stafford let it be known last month that he fully intended to return to the team in 2026 and this $40 million guarantee only sets it in stone.
Adams did get a roster bonus and that makes it clear that L.A. doesn’t want to outright release him, but it could also make him more attractive as a trade asset.
Even though Parkinson only got $1.5 million, it further cements how far the tight end has come since a hugely disappointing first season with the Rams in 2024. Parkinson could be the team’s number one tight end next season.
And A.J. Jackson has come a long way since going undrafted as he’s now one of the richest left tackles in the league.
