L.A. Rams News: They brought back Keir Thomas

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed on a deal to bring back Keir Thomas who missed all of last year due to injury, but could have the chance to flourish in the anticipated new look L.A. defense.

According to some of my information below, Thomas was an undrafted free agent a few years ago, so perhaps not a household name by definition, but if Nate Landman made a name for himself last year, why can’t Thomas do the same this year? Perhaps the first step is Thomas staying healthy.

I don’t think any team is done making moves, and we may see some more wild ones in the future, but for now, it may slow down as the legal tampering period has come to its end.

Though with the way the massive Maxx Crosby deal fell through, who knows what lies ahead?

Thank you all for checking out Turf Show Times, let’s have a great Thursday!

Friday, here we come.

Rams agree to terms with OLB Keir Thomas on one-year deal (therams.com)

“WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams have agreed to terms with outside linebacker Keir Thomas II on a one-year deal.

Thomas entered the league as an undrafted free agent signing by the Rams in 2022. Since then, he’s appeared in 17 regular season games, starting one, along with three postseason games. He’s registered 13 tackles (three for loss) in the regular season and three tackles in the playoffs. He appeared in zero games in 2025 after sustaining a season-ending undisclosed injury in the preseason which landed him on Injured Reserve.“

Maxx Crosby commits after nixed trade to Ravens: I’m a Raider (espn.com)

“HENDERSON, Nev. — All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby expressed his commitment to the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday night in his first public comments since the Ravens nixed a trade that would’ve sent him to Baltimore.

“Everything Happens For A Reason,” Crosby wrote in a post on X. “Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. Im A Raider. I’m Back. Run That S—.”

Crosby’s post came just days after he bid an emotional farewell to the Raiders, whom he has played for since 2019, and expressed excitement about joining the Ravens after they agreed to acquire him in exchange for two first-round picks, including the 14th draft choice in 2026.“

PFF mock drafters get Rams’ 1st-rounder right choosing from 3 enticing options (rambinfan)

“Within that context, Pro Football Focus mock drafters Trevor Sikkema and Dalton Wasserman assembled a tempting menu of prospects to consider: USC receiver Makai Lemon, Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq, and Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling.

From a pure talent perspective, it’s hard to go wrong with any of the three, but Sikkema and Wasserman ultimately landed on the pick that makes the most sense both for LA’s present roster and future outlook.“

Random Ramsdon Fandom:

“I don’t really like how the “all-in” term is being thrown around for this Rams team. For me that’s when the team is putting future assets into the team. They only gave up their 2027 3rd in the McDuffie trade. They’re also not putting a huge amount of cap forward into 2027 to sign free agents this year, so that’s also not “all-in” for me. The Rams are just making good moves to compete for the grand prize in 2026.

I also don’t have too much concern for signing the 2023 draft class, it’s somewhat naïve to think the Rams can’t work cap to re-sign most of that group and 2024 players. Too many people think of cap in terms of raw average per year numbers, but it’s so much easier to manipulate numbers. Then by 2028 (as it current stands) Stafford’s contract is off the books and if the Rams have a rookie QB contract they can have a lot more flexibility across the rest of the team.“samthelost
