The idea that the Los Angeles Rams are going “All-in” for a Super Bowl seems to be real with L.A. making massive free agency moves to add to what was already a strong roster, will any of these massive signings prevent the Rams from extending any other players whose contracts are coming due?

Will some of our favorite players we’ve gotten to know the last few years be there in 2026 or 2027? It’s a fair question.

Depending on your fandom, it can be tough to see players move on, but it’s part of the sport, and L.A. isn’t wasting any time filling the holes they probably wished they’d had filled prior to last year’s NFC Championship Game.

The question for the Rams in 2026 is will they be better than they were in 2025? We’ll see.

Thank you for all the comments for yesterday’s Random Ramsdom. Keep that energy going in today’s if we can! Why not? We love comments around here.

Either way, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times. Hump Day here we come.

The Rams Likely Priced Themselves Out From Retaining 2023 Draft Class (si.com)

“Despite Jalen Ramsey’s departure, the lack of a first round pick, Matthew Stafford returning from a season-ending injury, and more, the 2023 draft class overcame those issues on top of a massive overhaul to the offensive coaching staff and a 3-6 start to the season to finish 10-7, securing a Wild Card spot, while setting up the successes of 2024 and 2025.

With the 2023 class set to hit free agency after this season, the Rams are expected to enter negotiations for contract extensions after the draft. After seeing the moves made on the open market to free agency, paired with the moves the Rams made themselves, it’s becoming quite clear that the team will struggle to pay all their top players from the class. Here’s the latest.“

Rams Catch Massive Break Early Into NFC West’s Free Agency (si.com)

“The Arizona Cardinals have been the outlier, and outside of one successful season with Kliff Kingsbury, the team has been in a bad state for a long time. The Cardinals decided to hire Mike LaFluer, the Rams’ offensive coordinator, to be their head man, but it appears that while LaFleur works towards finding the success that has alluded the team in the desert, their first series of moves has been nothing short of a total disaster.

Here’s the latest from Arizona

The Cardinals have already made plans to move on from franchise quarterback Kyler Murray after only one playoff appearance with Murray being Arizona’s QB1. The reported plan was for Rams backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to replace Murray due to Garoppolo’s knowledge of LaFleur’s offense, his relationship with LaFleur, his ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly, and his proven track record of being a winner when properly supplied.“

Looking at the Rams’ Entire 2026 NFL Draft Order (si.com)

“The NFL draft is about getting the players for your future, as well as getting players that you believe could help you win now, if they are your picks from the top of the draft. It comes down to doing your homework and knowing what players you need to fill in the holes you have on either or both sides of the ball. You want to take the players that your franchise believes in.

And if they are there, you do not pass on them, because you could be regretting for years to come.“

Random Ramsdom Fandom:

“All is good with with we have done so far- I still say- to be truly set we need to get a LB that can cover. Teams honed in on this last year, how many wide open TE’s, slot receivers chewed us up last year. Am I missing something here thinking we still have a glaring hole that should be pretty easy to fix?” -Rambro64

“Defense looks great on paper, now they just need to add depth and potential replacements in the future.

DT – Turner is going to get paid soon, need to prepare for that.

NT – Poona is over 30, could look for another big body to develop.

Edge – BY is a FA next year, Verse will be expensive to extend. Stewart might be able to replace BY but could use another prospect here to develop and offer some depth.

LB – Landman is signed for 3 years and is okay, can use a upgrade of Speights. Is Dolac better? Could use an draft upgrade as a starter here.

CB – McDuffie and Watson are proven. Forbes is down to his last cheap rookie year. Could use some quality depth here.

S – Lake, Curl and Kinchens here for a bit longer. Could use another project to develop.“ -DodgersFanintheATL
