Miami Dolphins Discussion: To Or Not To Draft A QB After Signing Willis Edition

As everyone here now knows, our Miami Dolphins went out on the first day of the “legal tampering” period of free agency in the NFL and agreed to a 3-year deal with former Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis. Given that Willis was given a rather large contract for a fairly unproven commodity at 67.5 million over three years, most Dolphins fans assumed that the team was done looking at quarterbacks going forward, at least for this year. But does this necessarily mean the team is not researching quarterbacks, with the possibility of drafting one, for the upcoming NFL draft towards the end of this coming April? Should they still be looking for a potential starter or someone to bring in as additional competition in the later rounds of this year’s draft, using Willis as more of a bridge guy? Is the need for players at positions across the roster such that they should even consider using a pick on another quarterback at this point?

So this evening’s question(s) of the day is:

Should the Dolphins still consider drafting a quarterback this year to compete, or should the team just ride out 2026 with Malik Willis as the starter and Quinn Ewers as the backup? If they should or should not draft another quarterback in this year’s draft, why or why not?
