Jermaine Eluemunor rose from rock bottom. Now, his reward awaits | The Athletic
Jermaine Eluemunor believes — actually, that’s not putting it strongly enough. Jermaine Eluemunor knows he’s the best right tackle in the NFL.
“I made sure to let anyone who wanted to hear me know that I believe I’m the best right tackle in the league and my film proves it,” says Eluemunor, who is set to hit free agency after two seasons with the Giants. He has grown to crave one-on-one matchups with the top pass rushers in the NFL. He vows that anyone who watches the film of those battles will be convinced of his bold claim.
Lloyd, a 27-year-old off-ball linebacker, has emerged as a standout, earning Second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2025 while recording 81 tackles, five interceptions, and a notable pick-6 (99 yards). His versatility and playmaking ability make him an intriguing option to anchor the middle of New York’s defense.
Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone has been a reliable starter for the Lions, amassing over 600 career tackles with solid contributions in run defense and pass coverage across his time in New Orleans and Detroit. With the emphasis on building a more physical unit under new leadership, these linebackers represent potential targets as the Giants seek a dependable MIKE linebacker to stabilize the second level and improve run-stopping effectiveness.

C Tyler Linderbaum. It’s going to cost them, but it’s a no-brainer, and a move that many in the league expect will happen. The Giants have long needed an offensive line upgrade and new coach John Harbaugh is going to insist on it. So why not bring one of his best players along from Baltimore? The 25-year-old is exactly the anchor they need in the middle. He’s durable and been to three straight Pro Bowls and will be a huge boost to the powerful run game Harbaugh wants to build.

2026 NFL free agency: Biggest needs, predictions for 32 teams | ESPN.com
What do you expect to happen: Address inside linebacker in free agency or via trade and potentially in the draft. The Giants cut starting middle linebacker and defensive captain Bobby Okereke before free agency. Micah McFadden is a free agent coming off a right foot injury. McFadden could re-sign, but the Giants will still likely add a veteran in free agency and might take Ohio State’s Sonny Styles with the fifth pick. Not impossible
Every NFL Team’s Missing Piece on Offense and Defense | Bleacher Report
Offense: The Giants have a lot of fun building blocks, but they still need the offensive line to bring it all together. Finding successors for Jermaine Eluemunor and Greg Van Roten on the right side of the line would be huge. They snag Francis Mauigoa in our latest mock draft.
Defense: The defensive line is nasty, but the secondary leaves a lot to be desired. A reunion with Marlon Humphrey through a trade could help fortify the unit. Then again, a younger free agent like Nahshon Wright could be a more long-term solution.

New York Giants: WR Rashid Shaheed. The Giants’ receiving corps looks like an early LeBron James Cavaliers team. Outside of Malik Nabers, they lack a true difference-maker. Adding Shaheed to the offense, as well as to the return game, would be a big win for the Giants.
Why the Giants still view Dexter Lawrence as ‘super important’ piece after forgettable 2025 | New York Post
Not long after word came down that the Giants hired John Harbaugh as their head coach, Leonard Williams picked up his phone and shot a text to one of his best buddies, Dexter Lawrence. “I was like, ‘Hey, I love this move for you guys,’ ” Williams said.
