The Cincinnati Bengals and cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt are likely going to part ways this offseason. Taylor-Britt, a former second-round pick out of Nebraska, will be a free agent when the new league year begins on March 11th, and it is the expectation that he and the Bengals are both ready for a split.
Taylor-Britt showed real flashes in the 2023 season, highlighted by a standoff with DK Metcalf that went viral. Unfortunately for him, the 2024 and 2025 seasons weren’t as kind to him. Between injuries, being benched at times, and a couple of off-field issues, “Juice” was never able to get back to 2023 form.
In terms of his market, Taylor-Britt will almost certainly have suitors, but he doesn’t have a ton of great tape from the last two seasons to command a ton in free agency. Taylor-Britt could opt for a shorter deal, a fresh start, and an opportunity to test the market in a year or two.
One team that is reportedly “monitoring” Taylor-Britt is the Green Bay Packers, according to Easton Butler.
There was reported interest from Green Bay in trading for Taylor-Britt last season ahead of the deadline, but no deal ever came to fruition. As free agency opens, Taylor-Britt’s representatives will likely hear from Green Bay, and they appear to have a real interest in him.
There is always a chance he returns to Cincinnati, but it certainly seems like a fresh start may do him some good.
