According to investigative reporting from the Detroit News, Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been tied to an armed robbery and kidnapping case from Feb. 4 this year. While Arnold has yet to be charged or arrested with any crime, a court order from earlier this week alleges that “Arnold and his friends” plotted and executed a plan that involved assault, forced interrogation, and theft.
As for the allegations, Arnold filed a police report that he was the victim of two robberies at an Airbnb in Largo, Florida. Thieves reportedly took $100,000 in cash, jewelry, and guns.
The court order alleges that after filing the police report, Boakai Hilton conspired a plot to hold hostage and rob the people he believed were responsible for the original robbery, and Arnold was involved. As a result, three people, including Arnold’s personal driver, were reportedly assaulted and robbed.
Here are some details of the court order, as provided by the Detroit News:
The Feb. 24 order stated that the armed robbery and kidnapping were a direct result of “Arnold and his friends” deciding to “take matters into their own hands” after Arnold’s rental home was robbed twice. “While traveling in a car with Arnold back from Tallahassee, Hilton orchestrates the ambush,” according to the order.
The order alleges that text messages show Arianna Del Valle, who is said in the document to be Arnold’s girlfriend, instructing Jasmine Randazzo to lure Tenesaca, who had expressed romantic interest in Randazzo, to her apartment in Tampa. Del Valle allegedly told Randazzo to “act as bait … with promises that Arnold and his friends would pay Randazzo for doing so,” the order said.
The judge’s order added: “Text messages between Del Valle and Randazzo show that Del Valle has been instructed to hold the victims in the bedroom until ‘terrion [a]nd Boakai [Hilton] and Fredo [another friend]’ arrive at the apartment complex.”
Thus far, five people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Since the Detroit News’ reporting, there have been no public comments from the Detroit Lions, nor from Terrion Arnold’s camp. When a portion of the story was reported by a local FOX station over a week ago, they connected two of the alleged perpetrators in the assault and kidnapping to Arnold’s camp—suggesting one was his cousin and another was his bodyguard. At the time, Arnold’s representation refuted the connection:
A representative for Terrion Arnold responded and clarified that Hudson is not a security guard for Arnold, and that Williams is not Arnold’s cousin.
This week, Hilton pleaded not guilty to three counts of kidnapping to harm or terrorize, and three counts of robbery with a firearm.
