A couple weeks ago, I asked if the Los Angeles Rams would have any interest in looking at Malik Willis as a potential backup? They answer was probably not because of his potential cost, but I didn’t expect that Willis might not only get backup money, but could end up earning starting money as a NFL quarterback.
It’s to be determined which team he goes to, and what exactly his role with the team will be, but people are expecting this young man to really impact the market.
It has to be an exciting time for Willis who by some accounts has plenty of options.

Hypothetical Rams draft trade moves L.A. into the top-10 (ramswire)
“In 2025, L.A. traded back from No. 26 with the Atlanta Falcons to pick up an extra 2026 first-round pick. That turned into the No. 13 overall selection. L.A. currently owns that pick and their own selection at No. 29.
Davenport’s idea, though, would have the Rams move to the New Orleans Saints’ No. 8 pick without giving up the No. 13 selection. His potential trade includes the Rams sending No. 29, No. 93 (in the third round) and 2027 first-round pick to the Saints for only the No. 8 pick.“
