The NFL Scouting Combine is taking place this week in Indianapolis. Ahead of it, we sat down and talked with one of the biggest combine snubs of the year in Navy defensive tackle Landon Robinson.
Robinson was listed 13th overall on the Feldman Freak List coming into the 2025 season. He has been clocked at almost 21 miles per hour on the GPS tracking data, can bench press 465 pounds, and has a vertical jump of 33 inches. Had he been invited to the combine, he would have put on a show at the defensive tackle position. Instead, Landon will have to wait until his Pro Day on March 5th to perform in front of NFL scouts.
Robinson just finished his Senior season playing for Navy. He recorded 6.5 sacks on the season. Landon played in the Shrine Bowl after the conclusion of his season with Navy. He was highly impressive throughout the week. His coach for that week was Bengals defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery. Robinson discussed what it was like to play for Coach Montgomery during the show.
The biggest knock on Robinson is that he is considered undersized for a defensive tackle, measuring in at 5’11” and 291 pounds. Robinson originally arrived at the Naval Academy as a 240-pound linebacker out of high school. Robinson discussed his multi-sport background as a baseball, football, and wrestling athlete growing up in Akron, Ohio. Robinson’s father is a Bengals fan. Landon discussed that he would be grateful to play for any organization at the next level, but returning to Ohio and being close to his family would be a special opportunity.
Regardlessof where Landon Robinson ends up getting drafted, he is going to work his tail off to end up making an impact both on the football field and in a locker room. Robinson has experience on special teams, a little bit on offense, and would relish the opportunity to compete wherever the team would need him to.
