The Miami Dolphins are reportedly set to add to their offensive staff by hiring former Kent State special teams coordinator and tight ends coach, C.J. Conrad, according to a recent social media post by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Conrad — just 29 years-old — played tight end for the University of Kentucky while in college. He totaled 80 receptions for 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns. His touchdown total is second all-time in Kentucky history for the tight end position.
After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, Conrad signed with the New York Giants practice squad, but was released in April 2020 after seeing no live action in a regular season NFL game during his two years in the league. He immediately joined his alma mater in the summer of 2020 as a graduate assistant while working towards his masters degree. He would leave for Eastern Kentucky as the team’s tight ends coach in the summer of 2023, before parting for Kent State for the same role in 2024.
We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the organization continues to rebuild under the new leadership of general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley.
