The complementary qualities John Harbaugh sought in assembling his Giants coaching staff | New York Post
It kept him up at night. John Harbaugh has been there, done that with almost everything a head coach needs to concern himself with during his long tenure with the Ravens.
New York Giants: Trading No. 5 Selection for Multiple Premium Picks | Bleacher Report
In the final two weeks of the 2025 season, the New York Giants dropped from No. 1 to No. 5 in the 2026 draft order, which deflated the fanbase a bit, but they can attempt to trade their first-rounder for additional selections to build a young nucleus.
In a draft that doesn’t feature multiple top-tier quarterback prospects, teams that want to move down may not find many takers, but the Giants may be able to strike a deal with a club that covets a top edge-rusher or offensive tackle.
NFL free agency: Latest on Giants’ salary cap space — and who they can cut for more | NJ.com
LG Jon Runyan ($9.25 million savings, $2.5 million dead money): He has mostly flopped since Joe Schoen signed him in free agency before 2024. With a new, Harbaugh-led regime in place, that puts Runyan on thin ice for the final year of his contract in 2026. His PFF grades continued to lag in 2025 — 52.9 overall, 60.6 in pass blocking, 49.2 in run blocking. In 2024, he graded 56.1, 62.6 and 52.3. The one caveat is that would mean the Giants needing to find a new starter for that spot.
PFF 101: The top 101 players from the 2025 NFL season | PFF
41. OT Andrew Thomas, New York Giants. Thomas’ 90.3 PFF overall grade this past season tied a career high and ranked fifth among all offensive tackles. One of just six players at the position to earn PFF pass-blocking and run-blocking grades above 80.0, the fourth overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft finished the year with a career-low 13 pressures surrendered.
2026 NFL offseason: Players who need a change of scenery | ESPN.com
G Evan Neal. This 2022 first-round pick has been a disappointment. Neal washed out at tackle and was supposed to move to guard; but last season, he dealt with a hamstring injury and wasn’t active for a single game. He’s almost assuredly headed to another team this offseason, and perhaps he can be useful as an interior lineman elsewhere.

Ex-Giant Antrel Rolle slams Hall of Fame over Eli Manning, Bill Belichick snubs | USAToday.com
”When you talk about Eli Manning, you’re talking about a guy who beat the greatest quarterback ever, Tom Brady, twice in the Super Bowl. That speaks volumes. He had a great career. He can lead his team, and he doesn’t fold under pressure. How did he get snubbed twice? It baffles me,” said Rolle. “I get that it can be subjective. But to say that those two guys, Eli and Belichick, are not first-ballot Hall of Famers is absurd to me.”
