The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring Notre Dame associate director of football strength and conditioning Fred Hale, according to a report from John Brice of FootballScoop. Hale is said to be joining the Eagles as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
The Eagles have made a lot of changes to Nick Sirianni’s coaching staff since the 2025 season ended. And now they’re apparently tweaking their training staff as well. It’s not yet clear if Hale is replacing someone or being hired as another addition to the existing team.
Hale was originally hired by Notre Dame in 2021, which is when Marcus Freeman took over as the head coach of the Fighting Irish. Freeman’s success has led to rumors of him making a jump to the NFL, though that’s yet to happen for him.
Instead it’ll be Hale heading to the professional football ranks with the Eagles apparently interested in him.
