Should they stay or who they go, and which Los Angeles Rams pending free agents need to stay? Which ones would you let walk? We wanna hear from you!
We know the L.A. Rams will have Matthew Stafford back, and that may be the most important piece, but now what? Another offseason, and another expectation of plenty of roster changes for the Rams and around the league.
L.A. has to determine which drafted players going into their fourth year (like Puka Nacua) need to be extended early, and which players need to be extended beyond their standard four-year rookie deal. There’s a lot for the Rams to figure out!
So, we may ask again (I see Blaine put out an article yesterday about this too!), but it’s February, play GM with us, who should stay and who should go!?!?!
Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times, have a great Friday and let’s get to the weekend! No NFL action this Sunday. In fact, will be a little while before there is again.
Ranking Rams’ pending free agents in order of importance (ramswire)
“In about a month, the Los Angeles Rams will begin sifting through the free-agent class and decide who’s worth signing. Before free agency starts, they can sign their own players who are on expiring contracts, ensuring they don’t hit the open market.
There aren’t many strong candidates to be re-signed by Los Angeles this offseason but a handful of starters are due to become free agents. After starting with 20 pending free agents, the Rams are down to 19 following Rob Havenstein’s retirement. And both Quentin Lake and Nate Landman were due to become free agents but they signed extensions last season.
Here are the Rams’ 19 free agents, ranked from most to least important.“
“Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has called the Week 16 Thursday night win over the Rams the turning point of the Super Bowl champion’s season. The most important play in that game happened when replay review turned an incomplete pass into a successful two-point conversion by running back Zach Charbonnet, who simply picked up a loose ball in the end zone.
As MDS explained it earlier this week, it was the call of the year.
The replay review was initiated 100 seconds after the play ended. The two teams were preparing for the next kickoff. Then, out of nowhere, referee Brad Allen announced the play was under review.“
Why Rams Will Always Regret to 2025 Postseason (si.com)
“For this question, one NFL Insider’s answer was the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams were the best team for most of the season, and many had them winning it all last season.
But that was not to be because of their NFC West long-time rival, the Seattle Seahawks, who eliminated the Rams in the NFC Championship game, and that went on to win Super Bowl LX. It was a big-time disappointing moment for the Rams. The Rams wanted so much more, but the ball did not roll their way last season.“
