We have made it to the final day of the 2025-26 NFL season. It is a bittersweet day for a lot of people, as it marks the end of the best time of the year. Unfortunately, our Detroit Lions are not participating (for at least one more year), and instead, we are seeing two familiar teams on the biggest stage in sports: the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
Coming out of the hotly-contested NFC West, the Seahawks have been one of the best teams in football all season. Quarterback Sam Darnold has had an impressive year after signing with Seattle in the offseason, and wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba has cemented himself as one of the game’s best receivers. On the defensive side of the ball, the Seahawks’ secondary is one of the best in football.
On the AFC side of the big game, the Patriots have exceeded nearly all of the preseason expectations set out for them. In Mike Vrabel’s first-year as head coach in New England, the Patriots finished 14-3 and reclaimed their hold on the AFC East. Quarterback Drake Maye has taken off in his second year as a pro, and like Seattle, the Patriots have several difference-makers of their own on defense.
It might not be the biggest game in terms of overall star power, but there are a few players who have the ability to take over the game. With that said, that brings us to the question of the day:
Who wins Super Bowl LX MVP?
My answer: I am going with the player who has been the best receiver in the NFL for the majority of the year, in Smith-Njigba. Despite him having a tough matchup against the Patriots’ top two corners in Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis, I expect Smith-Njigba to have a big game with the whole world watching. Look for Darnold to find his favorite target early and often in order to soften up an aggressive New England defense.
What about you? Who do you think will be the MVP of Super Bowl LX? Let us know in the comments below.
