Mock drafts are rolling in, even with the Combine still a month away.
PFF’s Dalton Wasserman released a new mock draft last week, with the Bengals taking a name that’s been mentioned in several other mock drafts. Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods is mocked to the Bengals at No. 10 in Wasserman’s draft, a beast of a defensive tackle who was an All-American in 2025.
Here is what Wasserman had to say about Woods and being drafted to the Bengals at No. 10:
Cincinnati needs to rebuild its defensive front, and that work could begin on the interior with a player like Peter Woods. Woods experienced a down season in 2025, but he earned PFF grades above 83.0 in each of the two prior years. At a minimum, he would provide an immediate upgrade to a run defense that ranked 30th in the NFL in PFF run-defense grade this season.
The Bengals’ run defense definitely needs a boost. There’s a saying in the NFL that goes “stop the run to have some fun.” Stopping the run will allow the Bengals to tee off on opposing quarterbacks, something they also need to be better at in 2026.
What better way to upgrade that area than with Woods, who is widely viewed as the best defensive tackle in this year’s draft class. It won’t be a surprise if he actually goes before the Bengals are on the clock, so getting him at No. 10 looks like it would be a great selection.
Woods is one of several names being mocked to the Bengals across several media outlets. This won’t be the last time Bengals fans see Woods being mocked to Cincinnati leading up to late April.
