The Miami Dolphins have hired a new offensive line coach for Jeff Hafley’s remade staff — Zach Yenser, the former assistant offensive line coach for the Houston Texans.
Yenser has been in Houston for the past two seasons — including the 2024 season where he worked with new Dolphins offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. Last season, the Texans’ offensive line performed well in pass protection, but struggled in the running game — with Houston gaining just 3.9 yards per carry in 2025. Prior to his time in Houston, Yenser spent three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers where he overlapped with Jeff Hafley’s time with the Niners.
Former Dolphins offensive line coach Butch Barry will be joining former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel in Los Angeles — as Barry has accepted a position as the offensive line coach for the Chargers. Barry spent three seasons working for McDaniel in Miami.
