Other Giant observations
New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo provided an encouraging update on his recovery from a season-ending ankle injury during a recent appearance on the Roommates Show podcast.
“I’m good,” Skattebo told Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. “Just got cleared after 12 weeks to start jogging around and get moving again. Slowly but surely.”
One of the first big on-the-field decisions John Harbaugh faces is the impending free agency of Jermaine Eluemunor
New York Giants: Jermaine Eluemunor. One positive from the Giants’ otherwise forgettable campaign: The pass protection wasn’t a complete disaster this time around. Andrew Thomas’ ability to play in more than a handful of games was a big factor, but Eluemunor also did his part on the right side. While not a great run-blocker, the 31-year-old was steady in the pass game, allowing 19 QB pressures, tied for the eighth-fewest among players with at least 580 pass-blocking snaps, per PFF — and if we filter by position, that mark tied for the lowest among OTs.

Dennard Wilson was on John Harbaugh’s radar all along, whether it was going to be as defensive coordinator or in another role. So, from here, it’ll be interesting to see how Harbaugh and Wilson work through filling the rest of the defensive staff.

New York Giants: C Austin Schlottmann. With a nightmarish 2025 season in the rearview mirror, the Giants have already gotten a fresh start on 2026 by hiring former Ravens guide John Harbaugh. The team faces questions at multiple positions, with center being one — and Schlottmann proved solid as depth last season. Playing eight games up the middle, the 30-year-old recorded a 70.8 overall PFF grade with a 77.0 PFF pass-blocking mark, permitting just three pressures across 212 pass-blocking snaps.

The Giants will trade for Marlon Humphrey. The veteran Humphrey is heading into his walk year with Baltimore, and a trade could free up cap space for a team that needs it. John Harbaugh would likely welcome him in New York, where the Giants secondary could use work.
Kyle Van Noy will follow John Harbaugh to the Giants. Van Noy had a disappointing season in 2025 with the Raves, recording only two sacks in 15 games. Still, his veteran presence has value and could make him a great fit to follow John Harbaugh to New York and help develop the team’s young stable of pass rushers.

In overtime, the Giants’ ticket to Super Bowl XLII rested on a 47-yard Tynes field goal attempt. Tynes trotted out, and Feagles, with his tackified receiver gloves on, prepped to hold.
“It was a high snap, and I was able to get it down. I knew once he hit it he had the distance because I could tell the sound of it. It started out right, but I knew it was coming back right to left,” Feagles said of the successful kick, which gave the Giants a 23-20 victory. “Then Lawrence left me hanging there and ran right into the locker room. I guess he just wanted the warmth. I’ll tell you one thing, I did not feel an ounce of cold after the game was over.”
The Seahawks have three former Giants on their roster, two of whom, safety Julian Love and defensive lineman Leonard Williams, were key starters during their time with Big Blue, and the other, quarterback Drew Lock, a key reserve.
As for the Patriots, their former Giants include third-string quarterback Tommy DeVito, who, of course, rose to fame in 2023, his rookie season, when he stepped in for an injury-wrecked quarterback unit, and defensive lineman Cory Durden.

5. New York Giants: WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State, Wan’Dale Robinson is slated to hit free agency after recording his first 1,000-yard season, leaving the Giants in need of another dynamic weapon to pair with Malik Nabers on the outside. Jordyn Tyson brings some injury concerns, but he has posted a receiving grade of at least 83.0 in each of his past two seasons at Arizona State.
