Tue Tennessee Titans are set to hire former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll to be their new offensive coordinator under new head coach Robert Saleh.
The only thing that could change that plan is if Daboll gets the Las Vegas Raiders head-coaching job.
The hire would be particularly interesting due to the fact that the Giants play the Titans at home in 2026. That’s doubly true thanks to the role Daboll played in helping the Giants to land John Harbaugh. The former head coach doesn’t seem to bear the Giants any ill will, promoting the franchise to Harbaugh even after they fired him mid-season.
It brings another layer to what could have been one of the Giants more likely wins.
Daboll has a strong reputation for quarterback development thanks to his work with Josh Allen, Daniel Jones, and Jaxson Dart. The Titans, obviously, drafted Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. But while Ward flashed the arm talent and playmaking ability that earned him his draft spot last year, he wasn’t able to consistently play up to his potential.
The Titans are obviously hoping that Daboll can develop Ward and run the offense for the defensive-minded Saleh.
We’ll see if Daboll proves to be a better offensive coordinator (without Josh Allen) than he was head coach.
