The New York Giants have interviewed former Miami Dolphins coach Robert Prince for their vacant offensive coordinator position, per a report from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
Prince, 60, has been coaching since 1992 and a coach in the NFL since 2004. Most of Prince’s time in the NFL has been spent as a wide receivers coach, which is the position he held for the Dolphins last year. Prior to 2025, Prince was the Dallas Cowboys wide receivers coach from 2022 to 2024 and would be an unpleasently familiar face for wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
The Giants’ offensive coordinator role is still considered Todd Monken’s to lose, but it does behoove the Giants to interview other candidates in case Monken is hired by the Cleveland Browns to be their next head coach.
Prince does have some offensive coordinator experience, holding the position at Boise State from 2012 to 2013, and was also the Detroit Lions’ interim head coach in 2020. It also makes a lot of sense for John Harbaugh to get familiar with potential position coaches, and also has Prince in mind for the Giants wide receiver coach if they go in another direction for offensive coordinator.
Finally, it’s worth noting how quiet the Giants have been regarding their coordinator interviews. Pelissero notes that Prince was interviewed on Friday, but it’s only now being reported on Sunday morning. We could, perhaps, see the Giants move very quickly to fill their coordinator positions in the coming days.
