The Los Angeles Rams are being picked by Bruce Arians to win the Super Bowl. Arians coached against the Rams many a time, and perhaps most notably when he was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, of course he also had some epic matches against Sean McVay and the Rams when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well.

Will the Rams actually win it all? I don’t know, but Arians thinks so, and I thought that was interesting because I think he is being genuine, so when he speaks praise on these Rams I am taking it seriously and I hope he is right.

Sunday’s game is coming, oh, it’s coming.

Super Bowl–winning coach picks Rams to win it all (sports.yahoo.com)

“Bruce Arians, who coached the Arizona Cardinals before he won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, told ESPN’s Pat McAfee that he thinks the Rams will beat the Seahawks and take down whichever team comes out of the AFC this year. He noted that his Buccaneers squad that won it all in 2020 was a wild-card team, just like the Rams in 2025.

“I’ve been on two wild-card teams that got on a roll. And once you get on that roll, the noise doesn’t bother you anymore. You’ve got that invincibility feeling about you,” Arians said. “Seattle is a hard, hard place to go play, but the Rams have been there and done that. And I just see them doing it. I think they will beat anyone coming out of the AFC.”

Rams Eye Historic Milestones As Bigger Hopes Loom Against Seahawks (lafbnewtork)

“Matthew Stafford has quietly turned the postseason into familiar territory. With his second game-winning drive of this playoff run, Stafford reached 55 for his career, tying Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger for the second-most all-time when including postseason play. One more would move him even closer to the top of a list that defines quarterback longevity and clutch performance.

Stafford also tied Eli Manning with five career postseason game-winning drives, third-most in NFL history, while passing Steve Young for 19th on the all-time postseason passing yards list.

Against Philadelphia, the numbers keep stacking up:

  • Two completions move him past Joe Flacco for 18th all-time in postseason completions
  • Two touchdown passes would push him past Troy Aikman and into a tie with Donovan McNabb and Roger Staubach for 16th all-time

For a quarterback whose career has often been defined by circumstance, the Rams have given Stafford a stage where his résumé keeps growing louder.“
