John Harbaugh is expected to fly home after his meeting on Wednesday with the New York Giants. He will meet with the Tennessee Titans at his home on Thursday as he considers which team to become head coach of, according to NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN said the expectation remains that Harbaugh will hear pitches from both the Titans and Atlanta Falcons before making a decision.
Russini, though, said there is still a possibility that those meetings with the Titans and Falcons do not take place.
“Keep in mind, all John Harbaugh has to do is call his agent and say he wants to move forward with the New York Giants. If that happens, the Giants can make it official, and everything else comes off the table.”
NFL insider Tony Pauline, who now works for Essentially Sports, wrote that sources still believ Harbaugh fits the Giants “like a duck to water.”
The Giants apparently flew Harbaugh to New Jersey Wednesday on Steve Tisch’s private plane. Harbaugh met with John and Chris Mara, Tisch, GM Joe Schoen and even quarterback Jaxson Dart as the Giants rolled out the red carpet for Harbaugh, a Super-Bowl winning coach fired after 18 years at the helm of the Baltimore Ravens.
