The Eagles season didn’t end the way they had hoped, and a loss in the Wild Card round wasn’t the goal they set out to achieve. Still, in the final moments of the in-season “Hard Knocks,” we got to see a glimpse of mindset by head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts.
As the two linger around after the final team meeting of 2025, Hurts laments, “We’ll be back,” and Sirianni replies, “I have no doubt.”
It wasn’t a passionate exchange, or one dripping in disappointment, but rather two people who sound as though they’ve accepted how things have ended and are committed to improving and making another run. It’s what you want from the leaders of your team, and the kind of level-headedness we’ve come to expect from the Eagles quarterback.
The team has already announced they will be making a change at offensive coordinator, and there are bound to be a lot of roster changes this offseason, too. Hopefully, the group is able to figure out how to move forward with a solid identity, and play more efficient football in the season ahead.
