Is the Eagles’ offensive coordinator job attractive or not? Head over to The Feed and weigh in with your answer and explanation!
Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …
Eagles will ‘clean break’ from Nick Sirianni: What does that mean for OC search? – NJ.com
Philosophical changes are coming to Philadelphia. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles will take a “big swing” on their new offensive coordinator, bringing in someone who could change the offensive scheme. “I would expect them to maybe not go with something that (Eagles head coach) (Nick) Sirianni has done before, a little bit of a clean break there,” Rapoport said on Good Morning Football. If that’s true, the Eagles could run a completely new offense next year. That also means they probably won’t hire someone who has worked with Sirianni before. So we can cross out Frank Reich’s name. In recent years, the Eagles have not fielded a cutting-edge offense, which has surely been a disappointment to offensive-minded owner Jeffrey Lurie. The Eagles will need to throw away Sirianni’s scheme to become more innovative.
If Eagles don’t nail this hire, next year’s search could be for a new head coach – NBCSP
What’s just as concerning as Patullo’s inability to get the most out of the vast talent on the offensive side of the football is Sirianni’s inability to make a difference. This is an offensive head coach with two Super Bowl appearances and a championship and one of the highest won-loss records in NFL history on his resume. Why couldn’t he help? We know Sirianni’s strength is culture building and getting guys to buy in and work hard and practice hard and play hard and just create a winning atmosphere in the locker room, and he’s very good at that. But he’s also a guy who’s coached offensive football in the NFL for a decade and a half, and he just stood by and watched as his team struggled week after week to move the ball and score points.
Eagles-49ers Film Review: This was the end this offense deserved – BGN
Sadly, this result was incredibly predictable. I remember a comment a couple of months ago (this isn’t a criticism by the way) from someone saying I was too negative after an Eagles win. I totally understood. The truth is, I’ve hated watching this offense all year. It’s been incredibly badly designed. The Eagles got what they deserved. This result had been coming. This was an embarrassing way to go out. Not because the Eagles lost a close game, not because they were outmatched by a great team, but because they lost to a bad defense while repeating the same mistakes they’ve made all season. The offense produced a performance that felt less like a playoff loss and more like a summary of everything that went wrong in 2025.
Ranking every NFL head coach by job security after a wild 2026 coaching carousel – SB Nation
No. 17: Nick Sirianni — Philadelphia Eagles. As of the time of publication, no coach on this list has won a Super Bowl more recently than Nick Sirianni. Still … The Philadelphia Eagles remain an enigma. When the team is winning, everything seems fine, but losses make it seem like the tension that is simmering below the surface is about to boil over. The NFC Wild Card game saw more of that, as Sirianni exchanged words with wide receiver A.J. Brown on the sidelines near the end of the first half. Nobody seems happy, and the offseason is getting off to a strange start with the news that offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo will no longer be the offensive coordinator. That opens the door to perhaps a new offensive coordinator with some power to challenge Sirianni, which could change the balance of power on the sidelines.
The First Domino – Iggles Blitz
Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman may decide to push Sirianni to overhaul the offense and not just change the person calling plays. The offense had schematic advantages when Shane Steichen was running it back in 2022. It seems the league has caught up to it and the coaches haven’t had the answers to counter what defenses have done. There is no magic system in pro football. You need the right combination of scheme and players. You need the right play-caller. It will be very interesting to see how the Eagles proceed. They could go for someone with ties to Sirianni. Brian Daboll and Nick have a strong relationship. Daboll is a veteran offensive coach who could run the current system or mix in his own for the team. Daboll worked with Jalen Hurts at Alabama so that could also help things.
2) Todd Monken. For those clamoring for the Eagles to rebuild offensively, Monken should be near the top of the list. The former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator most recently authored the NFL’s most explosive offenses with an emphasis on heavy personnel packages, maintaining a balance between quarterback-inclusive shotgun runs and looks from under center with a vertical passing game tied to it all. Of the top candidates with extensive play-calling experience, Monken stands out as one well-versed in building a scheme around under-center formations. The Ravens ranked 13th in under-center usage last season — a significant uptick from years prior — and ranked No. 1 in explosive play rate and ninth in rushing success rate. Monken has also shown plenty of creativity with the quarterback run game working with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and it’s not hard to find some fun cut-ups of Monken tying the screen game (gasp!) to those looks.
Eagles offensive coordinator search: 12 candidates to replace Kevin Patullo – The Athletic
Brian Daboll, former head coach, New York Giants. Daboll was fired during his third season with the Giants, collapsing after a 9-7-1 playoff campaign in 2022. His offenses struggled in New York, although he’s an experienced play-caller who oversaw top 10 offenses in Buffalo. He also has extensive connections to the Eagles’ key personnel. Daboll worked with Nick Sirianni in Kansas City — Sirianni considered Daboll an NFL mentor — and was Jalen Hurts’ offensive coordinator for one year at Alabama. (That happened to be the season that Hurts was benched in the national championship game.) He coached Saquon Barkley with the Giants and DeVonta Smith at Alabama. Daboll will be a popular coordinator candidate, and if the Eagles are seeking someone with extensive experience running an offense, Daboll fits the description.
Ranking 2025 NFL rookie classes: Teams with most production – ESPN
18. Philadelphia Eagles. Much of Philadelphia’s impact came from two defensive players, first-round linebacker Jihaad Campbell and second-round safety Andrew Mukuba. Campbell played in all 17 games, with 10 starts, and had 80 combined tackles with an interception. Mukuba played 11 games, also starting 10, and had 46 combined tackles with two interceptions. Campbell and Mukuba each ranked among the top-13 defensive rookies in total points. But there wasn’t much after that. Fifth-round center Drew Kendall started one game and played in seven. Fourth-round defensive tackle Ty Robinson played in 11 games, and fifth-round linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. played in all 17, primarily on special teams, with 11 combined tackles.
49ers-Eagles draws 41 million viewers, most-watched wild card game since 2022 – PFT
Sunday’s 49ers-Eagles game drew a massive TV audience. Fox announced that the game had 41 million viewers, making it the most-watched NFL wild card game on any network since 2022. The last wild card game to have more viewers than that was a 49ers-Cowboys game that had 41.5 million viewers in 2022.
Jim Leonhard would give the Cowboys their own version of Brian Flores – Blogging The Boys
In case you missed it, the Cowboys are hiring for a defensive coordinator. Matt Eberflus is out after one disappointing year, and candidates have started to emerge. Many fans have publicly pined for Brian Flores, currently the Vikings defensive coordinator, and there were reports last month that Flores was on the team’s radar. Flores’ contract with Minnesota officially expires Wednesday, meaning he would be free to interview anywhere regardless of whether or not it’s a lateral move. That said, Flores does not seem likely to make a lateral move, especially to Dallas, for several reasons we previously outlined. But the Cowboys don’t need Flores. They have another name, whom they’ve already interviewed, that would be just as good: Jim Leonhard.
A day to laugh at the Eagles before we settle down to the work of bouncing back in the 2026 season.
NY Giants news: John Harbaugh visiting New York on Wednesday – Big Blue View
John Harbaugh is in East Rutherford, N.J. on Wednesday to discuss the New York Giants’ head coaching vacany, according to multiple reports. Harbaugh, 180-113 (.614 winning percentage) with a Super Bowl title and 12 playoff appearances in 18 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, has been the object of the Giants’ desire since the Ravens fired him after missing the playoffs this season. Wednesday’s visit with the Giants is Harbaugh’s first official in-person coaching interview. He has spoke with Atlanta Falcons President of Football Matt Ryan, and had lunch over the weekend with Chris Mara of the Giants. The Falcons and Tennessee Titans are considered the Giants’ primary competition for the 63-year-old Harbaugh. Per the New York Post, Harbaugh does plan to visit with Atlanta and Tennessee.
2026 Senior Bowl roster reveal: Three things you need to know – NFL.com
3) Receivers ready for launch. There might not be many potential No. 1 wide receivers in the 20206 NFL Draft class at large. But there are a lot of talented complementary receivers, and Fabianich believes the Senior Bowl crop can showcase several of them. “It’s a nice mix of Zs, a nice mix of Xs and slots — and we have some absolutely wicked slot receivers this year,” Fabianich said. “I think it’s just a really good group with some sleepers in it who I think are really going to blow up big time here.” Fabianich singled out Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion as one of the leaders in the clubhouse, who boasts “strong physical traits, separation quicks and (is) great with the ball in his hands,” Fabianich said. Want a speed guy? The Senior Bowl recently added Mississippi State’s Brenen Thompson, who could be one of the fastest players in college football. Fabianich thinks Thompson can run a 40-yard dash in the 4.25-second range. Some of the top slot options include Missouri’s Kevin Coleman Jr. and SMU’s Romello Brinson, whom Fabianich thinks will surprise people in Mobile.
