After a couple of barnburners to start the playoffs yesterday, Wild Card Weekend continues with a tripleheader that’s going to go all Sunday long, and we’ve got a place for you to talk about all three games right here.
Things will kick off in Florida in about half an hour or so, with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Buffalo Bills in the first AFC playoff game of the weekend. The Bills are the #6 seed in the AFC, while the Jaguars come in as the #3 seed as the champions of the AFC South. Kickoff for this one is slated for noon Central time, and the game will be broadcast on CBS and on Paramount+ if you have that streaming option.
The middle game will see the NFC slate of Wild Card games come to an end with the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Philadelphia Eagles in another 3/6 matchup. After this game finishes, the Divisional round in the NFC will officially be set. If the Eagles hold serve at home, they will travel to Chicago next weekend and the Los Angeles Rams will travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. If the Niners win, they’ll face the Seahawks and the Rams will head to Chicago to face the Bears next weekend. This one will be broadcast on FOX, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 PM Central.
The nightcap will send us to Foxborough for an AFC matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots. The Patriots are the #2 seed in the AFC, so they’ll be guaranteed another home game if they win this one. If the Chargers win, they’ll face the top-seeded Denver Broncos in the divisional round next week. This game will be on NBC, and kickoff will be at 7:00 PM.
As always, if you’re going to be watching today’s action and you want to talk about it with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans, this is the place for you to hang out.
Enjoy the games, everybody!
