It’s time for the NFL playoffs to get underway, ladies and gentlemen! And even though our Minnesota Vikings. . .unfortunately. . .aren’t involved, we can still sit back and enjoy all of today’s action, and here’s a spot where you can do it with other Vikings fans.
The first game of today’s doubleheader kicks off here in a few minutes, and we’re starting in the NFC with the Los Angeles Rams making a trip across the country to face the NFC South champions, the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers enter the playoffs with a losing record and pretty much backed into the playoffs after getting in via the Falcons beating the Saints in Week 18 in a pretty weird scenario. This game officially gets underway at 3:30 PM Central, and the game will be broadcast on your local FOX affiliate.
We’ll stay in the NFC for the nightcap, and it’s this postseason’s “why can’t they both lose” matchup as the Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers. These two teams split their two regular season games, and each of them lost to the Vikings once this season (and one of them should have lost twice). If you don’t necessarily want to watch this one, it will be relatively easy to avoid as it’s on Amazon Prime, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM Central time.
Again, if you’re going to be watching the games anyway, feel free to hang out and watch them here so you can discuss them with your fellow Vikings fans.
Enjoy the games, folks! We’ll have open threads for tomorrow’s tripleheader, Monday night’s game, and the rest of the playoffs as well.
