Talk to me, we want to hear from you! What are you concerns for Saturday’s game featuring the Los Angeles Rams and the Carolina Panthers? Yes, we are a Rams’ centric site (guilty as charged), but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from Panthers fans too!
My concern(s): That the Panthers are familiar with the Rams in a way that L.A. is not with the Panthers, and that’s due to coaches that the Panthers have and players as well. Carolina features coaches that coached for the Rams, a head coach who was once with the Seattle Seahawks, and several key players who know all about Sean McVay and his team.
Throw in the fact that the Panthers beat the Rams earlier this year and it’s safe to say that they aren’t afraid of L.A. If anything, Carolina wanted this matchup as much as the Rams did. Maybe more.
Of course, I am worried about the Rams coming out flat, or a key player getting hurt early, or officiating, or all of it! That’s every game.
Now, the thought of the Panthers knowing all about the Rams? That might be unique to this one.
Please let us know your thoughts, talk about whatever you want and happy Friday! Enjoy it. Tomorrow will be stressful enough I can assure you.

Rams vs. Panthers: Three must-know storylines for Saturday’s playoff game (nfl.com)
“Wild Card Weekend kicks off with a rematch of one of the most shocking upsets of the 2025 regular season.
Flashback to Week 13. The high-powered Rams rolled into Bank of America Stadium at 9-2 and on a six-game winning streak, five coming by double-digits. The Panthers were 6-6 — a marked improvement from 2024, but not considered a serious contender following a prime-time letdown in San Francisco the week prior.
But that Sunday afternoon, the Panthers turned in one of the best performances since the Cam Newton era, hounding Matthew Stafford into two interceptions (including a pick-six) and racking up 164 rushing yards in a 31-28 win.“
Why Rams Must Keep Panthers’ Bryce Young Uncomfortable (si.com)
“This matchup is a rematch of a game from earlier in the season that went the Panthers’ way. The Panthers had their way with the Rams’ defense, and quarterback Bryce Young had one of his best games of the season against the Rams. The Rams have to make sure they keep Young at bay and do not let him throw all over the field. That is going to be soemthing defensive coordinator Chris Shula makes sure his team does. They want to get after Young, every chance they can.“
NFL MVP race: Rams’ Matthew Stafford goes from injured to ‘amazing’ (usatoday)
“There are times like I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s Matthew Stafford.’ Like, I was 9 years old when he got drafted,” Avila told USA TODAY Sports. “It is awesome. I mean, especially just with the season that he’s had, and just being able to be a part of that is just amazing.”
Avila’s elementary school recollection of Stafford might make the 37-year-old feel old, but the quarterback’s performed this year like an aging fine red wine.“
