Good evening, New York Giants fans! Welcome to the second semifinal game of the 2025-2026 college football playoffs! Tonight we’re treated to a showdown between (1) Indiana and (5) Oregon.
This is actually a rematch from their Oct.11th game, which Indiana won 30-20. That game was the only loss on Oregon’s record, and the reason why they weren’t a top seed in this year’s playoffs. Of course, considering top seeds are 1-7 over the last two years, that may have been a blessing in disguise.
As with the Fiesta Bowl, I’m not going to bother going through both rosters to highlight all the players. We’ve spotlighted these two teams several times already.
That said, I would like to call attention to Indiana’s receivers, Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr. They could be Day 2 options for the Giants if they don’t opt to draft a wide receiver at the top of the draft. On the Oregon side, their offensive and defensive lines both have plenty of talent that could (or should) appeal to the Giants. I selected Oregon defensive tackle A’Mauri Washington in the second round as a complement for Dexter Lawrence.
Last night we had a great game between (10) Miami and (6) Ole Miss — that was a somewhat spoiled by a controversial ending. So will it be Indiana or Oregon who advances to the Championship to take on the Hurricanes in Miami?
