The New York Giants are continuing to stockpile interviews with experienced candidates for their head coaching vacancy. Recently-fired former Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris is the latest to be added to the list of coaches the Giants will interview.
Morris, 49, was fired by the Falcons after Atlanta went 8-9 for the second consecutive season in 2025. Morris also coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009-2011, and was Falcons head coach in 2020. So, he has had three opportunities to be a head coach.
In those three opportunities, Morris has a 37-56 record (.398 winning percentage). He was fired this year despite the Falcons winning their final four games. SB Nation’s ‘The Falcoholic’ took a look at why Atlanta fired Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot.
Morris is also expected to interview for openings with the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans.
The Giants have skewed heavily toward candidates with head coaching experience. Kevin Stefanski is interviewing on Wednesday. The Giants have also set up interviews or been connected to John Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy, Vance Joseph, and Kliff Kingsbury. Candidates who would be first-time head coaches include Lou Anarumo and Klint Kubiak.
