Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Vikings fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
Well, folks, the offseason is officially upon us, and with it comes our first SB Nation Reacts survey of 2026. We’ve got a couple of questions, both of which have to do with a couple of the bigger issues our favorite team is going to have to deal with this offseason.
First off, we’ve got our usual question about how you think the Vikings are doing as far as the direction of the team. As we know, the team ended the year on a five-game winning streak and wound up above .500 for the third time in the Kevin O’Connell era. Whether you think that means they’re going in the right direction or not is entirely up to you. But that’s the first question.
The second question has to do with the quarterback situation, which is going to be the question the entire offseason is likely going to center around. We want to know whether or not you think this team is going to go into the 2026 season with J.J. McCarthy atop the depth chart as the starting quarterback. Again, this can be based on whatever gut feeling you might have. Do you think the Vikings are going to trade for someone? Do you think a full offseason of development will benefit McCarthy? Will they at least take the backup position more seriously than they did this season? Let us know what you think.
The last question has to do with the potential fate of defensive coordinator Brian Flores. There are now seven head coaching vacancies around the National Football League, and Flores will soon no longer be under contract to the Vikings. The two sides have not worked out an extension yet, and we don’t know if he’s got eyes on any of the head coaching vacancies, though there have been some rumors swirling around already. Do you think he’ll be back on the Minnesota sidelines next season?
As always, we invite you to participate in our survey both by voting in the actual survey below and by making your voice heard in the comments section.
With that, go ahead and have at it, folks. We’ll get the results to you sometime over the weekend.
