The regular season is over, and for the third consecutive season, the Cincinnati Bengals will be watching the playoffs from the outside. This is the same Bengals that went to the Super Bowl in 2021 and the AFC Championship game in 2022.
Since then, though, the front office has allowed the roster to stagnate and has refused to make the necessary changes that could help them get to where they say they want to go.
Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins will not be in their primes forever. Every single year that goes by where the best QB-WR-WR trio in the NFL misses the playoffs is a tragedy, and three years in a row is inexcusable.
It’s more likely than not that any other franchise, in the same situation, would have fired everyone by now.
The Bengals, however, are not most franchises. After announcing on X on Black Monday that they would be keeping Duke Tobin, Zac Taylor, and no coaching changes would be made, fans took to the platform to voice their displeasure at the situation.
