NFL Week 18: Highest-graded plays of the week
- Myles Garrett’s record-sealing sack: The Browns edge defender etched his name in the history books by breaking the single-season sack record in their Week 18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The play that broke the record earned a +1.5 PFF grade, with Garrett beating left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. quickly and decisively around the edge.
- Carl Granderson’s ridiculous screen interception: Normally, when you see an interception on a screen play, it comes as a result of a tipped or dropped pass, but that was not the case on Saints edge defender Carl Granderson’s snag in Week 18. Here, he read the play beautifully and got in front of the pass to tight end Kyle Pitts, turning the ball over and earning a +1.5 PFF grade.

Here are a few standout plays from Week 18.
Myles Garrett’s record-sealing sack
The Browns edge defender etched his name in the history books by breaking the single-season sack record in their Week 18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The play that broke the record earned a +1.5 PFF grade, with Garrett beating left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. quickly and decisively around the edge.
Carl Granderson’s ridiculous screen interception
Normally, when you see an interception on a screen play, it comes as a result of a tipped or dropped pass, but that was not the case on Saints edge defender Carl Granderson’s snag in Week 18. Here, he read the play beautifully and got in front of the pass to tight end Kyle Pitts, turning the ball over and earning a +1.5 PFF grade.
Jalon Walker’s quick win off the edge on Tyler Shough’s touchdown pass
In the same game as Granderson’s interception, there was a play that should ultimately make both Saints and Falcons fans hopeful for the future. For the Saints, rookie quarterback Tyler Shough produced a big-time throw with a tremendous pass to the end zone, earning a +1.0 PFF grade on the play. If you watch the play again, though, and focus on the battle between Jalon Walker and the left tackle, you’ll see the Falcons’ top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft quickly win to pressure Shough. That effort earned the rookie a +1.5 PFF grade.
Lamar Jackson’s best play of the year
An injury-plagued season for the former two-time NFL MVP came to an end with the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, but not before Lamar Jackson finally flashed the high-end play we are used to seeing from him. In what wound up being the highest-graded play by a quarterback this week, Jackson evaded what looked like a certain sack before finding Zay Flowers downfield for a touchdown, earning a +1.5 PFF grade on the play.
