The Indianapolis Colts (8-8) travel to the infamous ‘House that T.Y. Hilton Built’ to take on the Houston Texans (11-5)(-9.5), who have already clinched a playoff berth, but could still win the division with a victory today.
Kickoff is Sunday at 1 PM EST.
While Colts fans wish this particular Texas trip was under better circumstances, with Indianapolis already having been eliminated from playoff contention, it is an opportunity for some of these Colts players to make their mark, play for team pride against an AFC South rival, and hopefully carry some momentum over for next season.
In particular, rookie quarterback Riley Leonard will be making his first career start in place of unretired veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, who will be available in emergency relief, with the Colts’ playoff hopes already dashed.
The Colts come in scoring the league’s 7th most points (27.3 avg. ppg), while their defense allows the 19th most points (23.4 avg. ppg)—as each side of the football doesn’t remotely resemble the successful units they were to start the 2025 campaign because of a number of critical injuries respectively.
Meanwhile, Houston’s offense scores the 16th most points (22.9 avg. ppg), while the staunch Texans defense surrenders the league’s fewest (16.6 avg. ppg.) respectively. It’ll be a major challenge for Leonard to solve.
Colts fans can watch the regular season finale on CBS, with Ian Eagle (play-by-play), JJ Watt (analyst) handling the call. It can also be streamed on NFL+ and YoutubeTV with paid subscriptions.
The TV map can be found here.
For those Colts fans tuning in to the radio locally, the game can be listed to on 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan, as well as 97.1 Hank FM. For paid subscribers, it’s also on Sirius XM Channel 382. Matt Taylor (play-by-play), analyst Charles Arbuckle (analyst), and Larra Overton (sideline) will be handling the radio call.
The officiating crew is Land Clark and his team.
Game temperature in Houston is expected to be around 63 degrees with partial clouds.
The Colts lead the all-time series against the Texans, 33-14-1, but Houston got the best of Indianapolis the last time these two teams played, winning 20-16 at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 30, 2025. In fact, the Texans have won the last four matchups against the Colts, so Indianapolis will be looking to snap that losing streak.
