As the Miami Dolphins enter Week 18, they have nothing to play for in terms of their record or the playoffs. I do, though, hope that the team will still show up to play for pride and possibly to prove themselves for next season, whether with the Phins or another team. The New England Patriots have already secured the AFC East title, but they still have a chance to obtain home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. To surpass the Denver Broncos for the top spot in the AFC playoff seeding, the Patriots will need to perform better than the Broncos did against the Los Angeles Chargers today. Even if they don’t claim the top spot, the Patriots must win or tie their game to avoid falling to third in the AFC seeding.
