Each year, the NFL waits to schedule out Week 18 games due to the potential playoff ramifications they may or may not hold. That wait is now over and the date and start time for the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 18 home game against the Washington Commanders has been revealed.
The Eagles will host the Commies at Lincoln Financial Field in a 4:25 PM Eastern kickoff on Sunday, January 4.
It remains to be seen how the Birds will approach that game. They have motivation to win since a victory gives them a chance at the No. 2 seed. They can officially clinch second place in the NFC playoff picture with a Chicago Bears loss to the Detroit Lions.
Speaking of that game, it’s no coincidence the NFL also scheduled it for a 4:25 PM Eastern start as well. So, it’s not like the Eagles will get to wait and see what happens with the Bears. Though they could certainly keep an eye on how that game goes when it comes to potentially pulling starters early or not … assuming they’re even playing at all.
