Christmas is a day filled with family, food, gifts, and now football? The NFL has been attempting to take over the holiday for the past few years and now the Detroit Lions are the latest victim in the Christmas Day games. The Lions go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings to give themselves a chance to make the postseason. It’s simple, if the Lions win, then they need the Green Bay Packers to lose on Saturday. If the Lions lose, their season is over before the rest of Week 17 happens.
“If you give him (Max Brosmer) time to see it, he can throw it and he’s got receivers to throw to, I know that,” said Lions coach Dan Campbell. “The guy is accurate. We have to disrupt him and we can’t let the run game get going. These guys are going to lean on ya, they’re going to use the run game because it’ll alleviate a ton of pressure. If we let them open the flood gates, it’s going to be a long day for us.”
